Up cycling craft for our daughter

sometimes when you have items laying around the house collecting dust, it’s fun to figure out how to up cycle them. we had a wipe board and a vintage fruit crate (sawed in half and painted white so it can be the tray) so we created an outdoor painting area. our daughter loves coming right outside to work on her new masterpiece. today it was a spaceship with some elephants. when she’s done, she helps herself to a sponge and squeegee, cleans her palette and starts over again. i love this age where her creative spirit starts to soar.

and best thing about this whole project? total cost: $5 for the wood frame around the white board. not too shabby 🙂
