oh this bay area newborn lifestyle photography session goodness!
i always feel like the newborn stage is a haze, you’re on autopilot as you feed, change and try to get your little to sleep. the last thing on your mind is to hire a photographer to come into your home to photograph your new family. but it’s one of the things that within this newborn haze, you’re going to forget how tiny their feet were against your fingers or the baby yawns where the entire face scrunches up or the itty bitty signs of a small dimple.
when you’re thinking of doing a newborn session, i recommend our sessions are during the first two weeks and to be super prepared for snuggles, love, kisses and more snuggles. i want the focus of our session to be about your love for your little so there won’t be posing of the baby but rather, i’ll walk you through moments if you need, but all the love and snuggles come from your natural selves.
this family reached out right after their baby girl arrived (she was a month early) and once she arrived, that they wanted to capture this short phase of the newborn stages.
and even at two weeks new, their personalities start to shine through. she was awake and alert the entire session. but this family is all about being in the outdoors. so the second we took her outside (in the rain no less!) to capture some park photos, she fell fast asleep. i think that she has a lot of hiking dates and being in the wonderful outdoors is in her future.
