during my los angeles trip over the summer, i had the absolute pleasure of photographing a picture-perfect at home lifestyle family session with the coolest family. mom is one of my favorite lifestyle bloggers that has some of the best recipes for milkshakes, travel adventures and incredible flair for do-it-yourself wonders. dad is an illustrator that has worked on lots of awesome movies and tv shows. and they have the sweetest and cutest twins! they kept me (and of course the parents) on our toes but were also super mellow.
i love at home lifestyle family sessions! and one of the many reasons why is that we get to cozy up in the family home. sometimes there’s worry that with an at home family session, there’s nothing to do or the home isn’t photo friendly. but when your kids see these photos when they’re older, they’ll see some favorite toys they forgot about or remember fondly the awesome couch that was the softest and bestest to jump from. plus we get to do what they love to do like reading, dancing around listening to their favorite music (vintage children’s records!), treating them with their first treats (we treated them to donuts but there are so many photos that it will have another post showcasing all the delicious goodness) all from the comfort of home sweet home.
oh and you know what happened right after this? he bonked his head, even though we said, be careful, don’t bonk your head. though i do have to say the extra loving snuggling that you get after a bonk on the head is quite sweet, especially for the photos. i mean just look at the tears and the itty pout!
