Dip your toes with family fun river play!
When you come across a river during a hike, would you rather take off your shoes and socks and dip your toes in the river or would you rather try to splash your photographer? 🙂 Or maybe both?
After our hiking family fun session through Little Yosemite, we thought that river water play would be an awesome way to add more fun with our session. Even though it wasn’t super hot during our session, the river was inviting and a great way to dip our toes and enjoy the river. We looked for ducks, found perfect hiking sticks, cilantro (!) in the water and tried to get me wet. I never did get officially splashed (long telephoto lens for the win) but my feet were sure frozen by the end of the river play haha.
I think for future sessions, I’ll make sure to include a note to include extra clothes and towels, not only the little one, but also the grownups, ha! I should also take note and include a towel and extra socks in my gear bag for random moments like this.
