Stanford Cactus Garden Family Photos
Have you been to Stanford Cactus Garden for your family photos? What a cool spot, tucked inside of Stanford University over by Quarry Road (near the mausoleum)!
This small garden has a beautiful variety of succulents, cacti, flowers, and small paths for you to wander through. If you have running or exploring toddlers, keep a close eye on them because the prickly pear might find them, yikes!
As awesome as this location is, it’s also very popular for photography. Knowing this, I asked the family to arrive before golden hour which you know is prime photography time. We didn’t want to worry about too many people. By the time we were leaving, it was golden hour and the garden was packed with crowds forming lines to take photos at certain spots.
But don’t let that detour you from considering this as a location because it is a cool location for your family photos! Show up a bit earlier than you’d ideally like, be patient, and explore the sweet nooks of this small cactus garden at Stanford. Also important to note, there are no bathrooms or water close by, parking is close but knowing if bathrooms or water fountains are close by is great for families to know 🙂
