What’s in my camera bag? Camera, lenses, and some goodies!
Goodness, the question that people love to know, what’s in my camera bag! I’m not sure why this is a favorite topic but many love to know what I carry – which then many understand why I have shoulder, back, and wrist pain!
My favorite camera bag: Timbuk2 Messenger Bag with a camera insert. I don’t think they sell the camera insert anymore but this bag is solid and waterproof.
My favorite fanny/waist pack from Amazon: I use this to hold a flash or a lens plus my memory card holder and business cards.
My favorite camera: I’m probably forever a Canon photographer. I use the mirrorless Canon R6 but I still have the solid, trusty, Mark III that I can’t seem to part with. For film, I have a vintage Mamiya as well as a Canon film camera though I rarely use them for sessions.
My favorite lens: These are the ones I have and most of these might mean nothing to you unless you love camera gear talk: Canon lenses – 35 1.4, 50 1.8, 85 1.4, 135 2, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8 but I use what I need to, depending on the scenario. The 24-70 is almost always on my camera but if I need some telephoto love, the 135 is my next favorite if I have the space. Otherwise, it’s 70-200.
My favorite toy: Fuji Instax! Every session includes these photos that the kids and parents love. It’s interactive and it’s a small gift that they can take home.
My favorite toy: Sarah’s Silk hides easily in my bag and it turns into a cape, a flag, peek a boo, limitless for the kiddo’s imagination.
