I’m really loving this family park time session, not only for the absolute cuteness of their little one but because they ROCKED their outfits and wanted to showcase how their wardrobe helps make them shine.
Wardrobe highlight tips
- Patterns: Mom and dad wore solids while their little girl wore a patterned dress paired with a solid sweater. Combining all of this together visually allows their little girl to pop against mom and dad. Having your kid(s) rock out in the patterns while the grownups wear the solids is a great visual combination.
- Color Wheel: A color wheel shows the relationships between colors and is a great place to start when thinking about colors. Mom and dad are wearing red/green which are complementary colors that are directly opposite each other on the color wheel. Pairing complementary colors for your wardrobe provides a vibrant contrast. Plus their daughter accented it by wearing a bow in the same color as her mom’s dress.
- Layers: Mom and dad’s complimentary colors are wonderful however, since it’s red and green, adding the grey sweater layer to dad really helped their photos not feel “Christmas-y.” When you’re pairing your complementary colors, if it feels too bright/solid, add a layer of a sweater or scarf that can help tone down the colors.
