I love it when a family is excited about the ten-minute portrait pop-up and even more when they’re surprised by the amount of different photos we do during those ten minutes. I’ve been creating these ten-minute portrait sessions for the past two years so it’s become second nature of the photo combinations that we’ll do during our short time together.
Here is a list of the photo combinations that we’ll do during our pop-up:
• family together
• mom with kids
• dad with kids
• kids together
• parents together
If time allows:
• headshots
• mom with each kid
• dad with each kid
Pretty cool variety of photo combinations, huh!
Of course, this can change depending on how everyone is participating, little toddlers can sometimes be a bit challenging but we always make it work. For example, if I’m noticing a kid is having a hard time taking the photo solo, we’ll do the photos with the parents and have the toddler stay in the parent’s arms. Or if no one wants a headshot, we can move to another pocket at the location to have a different background for the photos.
So glad that I could showcase all these awesome photo combinations with the amazing family. I met mom at OrangeTheory and we love to work out there together. So to photograph her family outside of the orange lights was so much fun 🙂
