San Jose Family Photographer – Posing ideas for families
When it comes to posing ideas for families, there are a few favorite posing ideas that I love to use. Depending the family, the age range, the dynamics of the family, I’ll come up on the spot of what the best way to pose them for their family photo. Here are some of favorite back pocket posing ideas for families!
Sitting on the floor: Cozy in together, get as close as possible and snuggle on the floor! Seat mom and dad first and tell them to get comfortable together. Then ask the kids to pile up on them and photograph the cuteness

Standing together, mom and dad linking hands: Have mom and dad hold hands then have the kids stay close. Hold the youngest and have everyone holding on to each other

Swinging – carefully: If your little one enjoys swinging, have them hold onto the parents and play swingtime/helicopter/fly time/whatever words your kiddo loves to use to describe the swinging

Kids seated in front of the parents: Have the kids in front of the parents, ask them to interact with each other and let the parents relax in the background

Standing group hug: If everyone is standing up, ask everyone to get close to each other, than ask them to cozy in together and then ask them to squeeze in more. This helps bring out the extra smiles and silliness since they try to figure out how to get in even closer.
