When you start thinking about family photos, does your backyard cross your mind as a possible location? As a family, you might love spending a lot of time together in your backyard space so it can be an ideal location for your next family photography session!
- Do you have a trampoline? Let’s go and bounce on it.
- Do you have a zipline? Okay not everyone has one but if you do, ride it
- Have pets? Include them, especially if you have chickens, they are great to include for your family portrait
If you want to plan your session in the backyard, here are a few tips:
- If your backyard gets super hot during the day but is cozy and cool in the morning/early afternoon, let’s aim to have the session at that time
- Lighten up any of the clutter – think empty pots, garden hoses, etc
This family had a zipline, trampoline and chickens! They love their backyard space and wanted to be comfortable and enjoy a session from the comfort of their backyard. Being able to wake up, get dressed and open the front door to show off their space was the kids favorite way to spend their weekend morning!
