this family session is pretty much one of the bests not only because of their awesome selves at an awesome location but because we got to include the amazing twins! last april, i was fortunate to take part in putting together their baby announcement of twins so to now have their family session with their complete family was exciting.
during our consultation, mom mentioned she was thinking of an urban session with graffiti as the backdrop. we joked a bit trying to think of graffiti backdrops in dublin or san jose (as that is where we both are from) but figured that if we’re doing this, we should go big and have their family session at clarion alley in san francisco. we spent part of the early afternoon slowly walking down the alley looking at amazing art work and trying to stay cool because who would have thought that it would have been a ridiculously humid day?! luckily the sun hid behind the clouds for most of the alley walk but we sure did feel the hot stickiness. here’s just part one of their fun family session at clarion alley. check out the link for part two at dolores park.
not only did i love having their family session at clarion alley, i really enjoyed changing it up a bit with the post-processing for this series. because of the urban backdrop, i wanted to have my edit style feel a bit more urban with a hint of pretty grittiness (ha is that even a thing? well it is now heehee) so it was fun to change up my traditional editing style for something a bit different. hope you like it too 🙂
