i asked emilia what her favorite so far about summer has been. her answer has been all the watermelon! ha i love that that’s what sticks out in her mind. there has been an endless amount of watermelon eating and the girls are obsessed with it. and i mean obsessed. if carina sees me cutting watermelon, she “hulks” out. she raises her little arms up to her face, shakes them and screams for the watermelon all while turning bright red. i can’t bring it to her fast enough. it’s quite hilarious. and of course, every time i try to video it, she won’t do it (it’s the same with trying to capture her walking, each time i take out the camera, she falls to her butt and crawls).
with all the adventures we did this summer of lego land, camping at temecula, los angeles, san diego, trampoline houses, movie dates, gilroy gardens, great america or water parks, emilia’s favorite memories are the times where we camp out eating watermelon and making messes our ourselves. i guess that’s what childhood summers are all about. simple, sweet, sticky messes 🙂
