Backup San Jose Photo Spots – Bad weather location options – Photos by Kim E
For the few months out of the year when it looks like rain might be in the forecast of our family photo session, there are options! It may seem like a challenge for a family fun session but there are places that we can consider if we’re unable to enjoy the outdoors for a session. Here are some San Jose photo spots when it rains for our family photos:
- Downtown San Jose: Downtown San Jose has a diverse array of buildings, from modern skyscrapers to historic structures. There are murals and overhangs, especially at Children’s Discovery Museum that is perfect if it looks to be a rainy or misty day.
- Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum: Located next to the San Jose Rose Garden, this garden oasis is a great area that also has some overhangs and options if the weather isn’t looking too great.
- Miner Museum: Located out in the New Almaden area, this museum is tucked away in the valley of the mountains. The museum is a three-story house with a wrap-around deck on the second level, gorgeous staircases, and gardens that you can wander if it’s not too much rain.
- Your home: I always love at-home sessions because it’s home! If the weather is looking really bad and rescheduling isn’t an option, consider opening up your home. We can still play, bake, or just be so cozy from the comfort of your home.
Although we might have to change your original San Jose photo spots location if the weather is bad, we can still make the most of it!
