I love it when I get to be shown a new location with this family! We’ve explored all throughout the Bay Area at amazing locations like Google Visitor’s Center and Presidio’s Tunnel Tops when it first opened. So when the suggested family photos at Stulsaft Park in Redwood City, I knew that it would be an adventure!
Their daughter had spent time at Stulsaft Park for camp so she was in charge of showing us all around the park. It’s a very large park, over 40 acres to explore and she would have taken us throughout it all if we let her. But she was on a main mission to show us something amazing and none of us knew what it was! Tucked away off the path was a swing tied to a giant oak tree over a stream and we were so surprised with her showing off the park.
If you’re in the Redwood City area and looking for a location to spend the day, or for your family photos, Stulsaft Park is perfect for it. Giant trees, perfect for shade in the summer, picnic benches, climbing trees, streams and even a cool mural. Also, if you have a dog, this park is also off-leash friendly for most of the park (expect during summer camp time around the lower trails) but the park is so large that you have a lot of space to roam with your dogs!
